Psalm 75 – Don’t Judge, Praise

Read Psalm 75

This psalm reminds me not to judge others because God alone judges the good and bad. Our society all too often stands in judgment of others. I do it, too, I confess. I’m sure there are people judging me. To that end, I have to brush it off and concentrate more on who I am to God. Is my life pleasing to him?

I want to be the like the psalmist, “I will always proclaim what God has done.” Not just sometimes, when I’m feeling good and things are going well, but ALWAYS!

So how do we do that? How do we keep a song in our heart and praise on our lips even in times of struggle, worry, conflict, or suffering? Do you have a method you use?

Let’s take a serious step back and look at the things in our life. Focus on the blessings and the times God has intervened. Think about your future and what glorious plan God has in store for us. While I wait for that glorious day when I see my Savior face to face, I want my life to be reflective of God’s love and mercy. I want people to look at me and say, “Wow, why is she glowing?” I want to be more positive. I want to look for the good in all things. I need God’s help in my conversations and discernment for my purpose.

Moreover, I want to be like the psalmist and always proclaim what God has done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.”  How do you do it, that is talk about God and what he has done? I’d love you to share the first moment that comes to your mind when you proclaimed what God has done for you!

Let’s pray. Father God, you are so good and your love and protection amazes me every day. Thank you for the many blessings you give us each
day, the new sunrise, the blooming trees, the birds singing in the trees. Help me be more joyful at the beauty of your creation. Work in my heart to fill me to overflowing so that I can always be a reflection of you, praising you always. You are my God, and I adore you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
