If you’re like me, you are super busy running from one thing to the next and often find it hard to slow down to “be still” in the presence of the Lord. It is my hope and prayer that this reflection blog will help you take time to spend with God.
Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Dana, and I’m a retired mother of four beautiful children, and four very loving Japanese Chins. My husband and I recently moved abroad for our retirement and are living in Jalisco, Mexico. We are busy learning the language, making new friends, playing music and following Jesus’ new and exciting plan for us.
I am also a child of God who loves to write. Since I was a little girl, my imagination would find its voice through stories and poetry. Pen or pencil in hand, I would doodle or craft poems spilling out of my heart onto paper. This blog takes this style a bit farther as I take this gift of writing and share with you my reflections based on another love of mine, the Word of God. I truly believe that God has given me this magnificent gift to read and study to get to know him more deeply. I can read it over and over again and the same words can speak to me differently each time. The Word of God is alive, and I look forward to sharing with you what it’s telling me today.
I’d love to be in conversation with you as read and reflect on these passages. Let me know how it speaks to you! Comment often and share your ideas on the passages I share. I look forward to having many a virtual Bible study conversation!
Blessings to you!
Dana
